Mathrushree Group of Institutions maintains a Zero Tolerance Policy toward ragging in any form. In accordance with the Supreme Court of India guidelines and the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, ragging is a strictly prohibited and punishable offense.
Ragging includes any conduct by any student (whether by words spoken or written, or by an act) which has the effect of teasing, treating, or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student. This includes:
Physical abuse or threat of physical force.
Mental or psychological harassment.
Acts that undermine the dignity of a student.
Forcing a student to perform acts that cause shame or embarrassment.
Any student found guilty of ragging shall be liable for one or more of the following punishments:
Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges.
Expulsion from the hostel and institution.
Rustication from the institution for a period ranging from one to four semesters.
Legal Action: Filing of an FIR with the local police under the Karnataka Education Act.
The campus is equipped with an active Anti-Ragging Squad and 24/7 CCTV surveillance in all “Safe Zones” (Hostels, Canteens, and Hospital corridors).
To Report an Incident: Students can contact the Principal’s Office or call the National Anti-Ragging Helpline immediately.
